Creating, planning, and designing a cloud platform from scratch, used by end users as a VPS for public services. In this project i act as product owner also NOC lead.
So both positions were beneficial for me to further and freely explore ifvirty. In this project, I successfully led ifvirty to its first launch, version v1.0.0
Here are the tasks I worked on:
- Served as the Product Owner for the company’s leading virtualization platform, driving its vision, strategy, and execution from inception to market.
- Spearheaded the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and market research to design, development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Collaborated closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure the platform met the highest standards of functionality, user experience, and market fit.
- Conducted thorough market and competitor analysis, identifying gaps and opportunities to position the virtualization platform ahead of rivals.
- Led regular feedback sessions with key stakeholders and users, harnessing insights to refine product features, improve usability, and drive platform adoption.
- Articulated clear product roadmaps to align cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of features and updates.
- Maintained a pulse on emerging trends in virtualization technologies, ensuring the platform’s continued relevance and evolution in a dynamic market.
- Oversaw go-to-market strategies, working with sales and marketing teams to ensure the platform’s value proposition was compelling and clearly communicated.
- Ensured the platform met the highest standards of scalability, security, and performance, catering to both SMEs and large enterprise clients.
The challenge in developing ifvirty was primarily in the infrastructure, especially the network. It required keen insight to ensure the appropriate allocation for VMs and the network. Furthermore, when addressing the VPS machine infrastructure, careful calibration was essential to guarantee the most efficient resource distribution.
Technologies are used: KVM, Java, git, docker, prometheus, grafana, exporter, log4j.
